- A very complete site sponsored
by ADDitude magazine, a national monthly magazine for the ADD community
- Attention
Deficit Disorder Association
- The web site for the National
Attention Deficit Disorder Association, a non-profit organization that
focuses on the needs of adults andyoung adults with ADD and ADHD. They
sponsor an annual national conference on AD/HD.

- A very complete site with
a chat area, lots of ADD info, and links to other sites. Keeps up-to-date
with the latest news in the ADD world. Sends out a weekly email.

News
- A very popular, active site
with lots of information that is continually updated. Much of it is
geared towards the needs of children with ADD/ADHD, but there is also
much here useful to adults. Sends out a email newsletter.

and Adults with A.D.D. (CHADD)
- Another national non-profit
with a useful site.
- ADDers
- A site to learn about our
friends overseas in England. It has information on homeopathic and other
alternative treatments of ADD.

- Provides private, personal
ADD consultations, both nationally and internationally, via e-mail.
Consultation is provided by Terry Matlen, MSW, ACSW, a psychotherapist,
coach and consultant who specializes in attention deficit disorders
in adults and young adults. This web site also has a comprehensive listing
of ADD professionals, products and services; updated research information,
and articles writtenby experts in ADHD.

- A site dedicated to the
needs of women and girls with AD/HD (ADD), offering information, resources
and links. ADDvance also publishes a magazine for women with ADD six
times yearly. Subscriptions can be ordered online.

- A physician-created and

Treatment Study
- Results of the MTA study
funded by NIMH discussing the best treatment for ADHD. One of the largest
studies (579 children) to date on ADHD treatment.
- Impact
of ADHD on School Performance
- From Chris Dendy (National
Board of CHADD- Teenagers with ADD, Teaching Teens with ADD and ADHD,
and A Bird's-Eye View of Life With ADD and ADHD: Advice from Young Survivors).
She talks about the impact of executive function issues on learning.

- From education guru Dr.

differences. This excellent website offers interactive exercises so
that we can experience what it is like to have a learning disability
like ADHD. It will open your eyes!

- This NICHCY Briefing Paper
is written to help parents, teachers, and others interested in AD/HD
know what to look for, what to do, and how to get help.

Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)
- An in-depth look at attention
deficit hyperactivity disorder, which affects children and adults. It
describes symptoms, co-existing conditions, and possible causes of ADHD
as well as treatment and education options.

Function
- Executive functions are
the higher-order processes that enable us to plan, sequence, initiate,
and sustain our behavior towards some goal, incorporating feedback and
making adjustments along the way. Some of the neurobehavioral conditions
discussed on this web site such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder,
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Depression have been associated with
Executive Dysfunction. The overview chart is an excellent resource to
